Phi Chi Theta prides itself and strives to be the best student-run, professional organization that promotes careers in business. On the California State University, Chico campus, Phi Chi Theta is rapidly growing and emerging as a proponent for new ideas and networking across various avenues in the business, local, national, and university communities
Phi
Chi Theta has been at the forefront of networking and creation of College of
Business events.
Phi Chi Theta expands this role with efforts in the construction of the
Business, SAP, and IT Career Fair; Corporate Reality, a professional event
designed towards business students that promotes the importance of
communications in the corporate environment; and the College of Business Turkey
Bowl, a canned food, turkey, and clothing drive in conjunction with a football
game between the College of Business organizations. Further external projects include: keynote
speakers on business issues, résumé workshops, and an active role in community
service through well-known programs such as Relay for Life, Memory Walk for
Alzheimer’s, Up ‘til Dawn, Wings of Eagles, and the Jesus Center. Internally, Phi Chi Theta provides its
members with an opportunity to learn essential business skills through public
speaking, leadership, budgeting, parliamentary procedures, marketing, time
management, teamwork, organization, and scholarship recognition.
